San Miguel de Allende. After a great night in Queretaro, we had already booked onto a 5 hour horse riding trip in San Miguel de Allende, with an hour bus journey from Queretaro to San Miguel de Allende to help with the hangover… perfectly planned. The day was perfect, the sun was shining and it honestly looked like a Wild Wild West movie. Cowboy land. Everyone in sombreros it was great! The scenery was just unbelievable, and to explore the canyon on horseback was incredible. Riding through rivers, cacti, cattle, up the mountains, on the cliff edges it was just… ah, there are no words.

The views and the scenery surrounding us were outstanding. So beautiful, breathtaking. We were completely surrounded by the canyons and the natural beauty as we followed the lead cowboy.

San Miguel de Allende is another really beautiful place with stunning architecture which attracts hundreds of art students and about 10% of the 70,000 popuation are foreigners. Before making our way back to Queretaro at 3pm we explored the town on foot, mainly heading towards one of the many Cathedrals where we continued to stumble upon more hidden points of interest. Another really pretty place.

We returned back to Queretaro accidentally booking onto economic service with less leg room and no personal screen. Having said that, they’re definitely 100 times better than those in England, yet we had become used to the luxurious service. All in all, and amazing week, which has left me completely and utterly exhausted. Worth it 100% though to see some absolutely outstanding views, natural beauty, cowboys, colonial buildings and of course having an incredible time with friends 🙂
